Chanina Sperlin Does Not Represent The Crown Heights Jewish Community

by

CHUTZPAH!!! Rejected Chanina Sperlin parading around with the new Captain of the 71st Precinct John J. Lewis and Fred Kreizman from the Mayors office.

Dear Captain John J. Lewis, the new Commanding Officer of the New York Police Department’s 71st Precinct and Dear Fred Kreizman from the Mayor’s office and whomever else this may concern:

Please be advised that Chanina Sperlin does not represent the residents of the Crown Heights Jewish Community.

On June 13, 2010 elections were held for members of the Crown Heights Jewish Community Council, Inc., also known as the Vaad Hakohol of Crown Heights. Chanina Sperlin ran as a candidate and lost big time. The people of Crown Heights gave Chanina Sperlin the boot.

Chanina Sperlin ran on his so called record of being “politically connected” and still lost, yet somehow he is right back at it (?).

Parading around with Chanina Sperlin does not show good faith in our will and in fact is a slap in the face to every resident of the Crown Heights Jewish Community.

We voted for change, not more of the same.

Furthermore, the Crown Heights Jewish Community Council, Inc. (CHJCC) does not represent the residents of the Crown Heights Jewish Community.

In past years elections there were barely 600 residents who participated in the elections for the Community Council - (here is not the place to discuss the fraud that would take place at these so called elections) . There are about 3000 [Jewish] families living in Crown Heights, 600 out of 3000 is not even half. In 2010 election about 2000 residents came out to vote, this was by far the largest turnout for any elections in Crown Heights history. The reason we came out by large to vote was as a result of a vigorous campaign which promised total and complete change. This was an election (as we were lead to believe) where the people of Crown Heights would finally have an opportunity to get rid of the old corrupt cabal which has infested our community with controversy, hate, propaganda, lawsuits, witch hunts (against good honest people) and even tromped up criminal charges, just to name a few, with new fresh faces. We were convinced that we were voting in fresh faces with no ties to the old evil region. It goes without saying that obviously we were greatly disappointed. The people of Crown Heights were doped. We will not be coming out to vote come next election.

The Crown Heights Jewish Community Council, Inc. is a corrupted and  fraudulent entity, which has stolen millions of  our tax dollars meant to assist the needy of the Jewish Community.

In the past when complaints were made to city officials about Chanina Sperlin misrepresenting our community, we were told, “What do you want from us, you guys (the Crown Heights Jewish Community) voted him [Sperlin] in”.  Well, now we voted Chanina Sperlin out!!!!

  1. CH RESIDENT Says:

Can someone please show us one example of where a person who was voted out of office was brought back in to the that very office to serve – although the people voted him out?

    This is outrages!!!

  2. WhoIsShmira? Says:

In an email conversation WIS was asked the following question:

You claim that Chanina Sperlin and the CHJCC does not represent the Crown Heights Jewish community, if they don’t represent, in your opinion who does?

    Reply:

    1) We have the heads of all the organizations. Every school should have a representative who has contact with the precinct.

Have in mind that this contact is not on a daily basis, in other words, it’s not a full time job, no big hassle. Also have in mind that the precinct has in its employment officers whose sole job is community affairs.

    2) Mekoz/Aguch could and should have a representative at the precinct for their issues.

    3) Hatzolah should have a representative at the precinct for their issues.

    4) Shomrim should have a representative at the precinct for their issues.
    Etc…Etc…

For example: When theres an issue with Shomrim or Hatzolah the police contacts Shomrim or Hatzolah directly. There is no need to go through a third party like the CHJCC which has it’s own agendas. The same applies to all other organizations.

By the way, I’ve written about this before and heres a good time to bring it back up.

What we, “not connected” citizens can accomplish by writing letters and email (even anonymously) to our politicians, government agencies etc… Chanina Sperlin and the CHJCC can’t accomplish with their so called “political connections”.

Don’t rely on anybody, become your own leader, take control.
