If you put the amount of all our Mosdos and schools together spent on office supplies you won’t even come to this number ($601,121).
How is it that one small office, which does not produce much of anything can spend so much money of office supplies and office Material?
This is nuts.
This is money thats meant to help people in the community in need.

NEW YORK (AP) — A former Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center worker embezzled more than $1 million from the renowned cancer hospital by ordering computer printer toner and stealing it, prosecutors said.
Receiving clerk Marque Gumbs ordered $1.2 million worth of unneeded toner on the hospital’s tab between October 2009 and this August, sometimes buying toner that wasn’t even compatible with the computers at the outpatient center where he worked, a court complaint says.
He had delivery drivers meet him on the street to hand over the supplies, and he was seen on surveillance video taking the shipments to an area where they didn’t belong, the complaint said.
Gumbs’ lawyer didn’t immediately return a telephone call Thursday evening. Gumbs, 32, was being held on $100,000 bail after his arraignment Wednesday on a grand larceny charge.
Prosecutors haven’t detailed what they think Gumbs did with the supplies. The Wall Street Journal, which first reported the story, said authorities believe he sold the toner elsewhere.
The $37,000-a-year clerk piled nearly $150,000 of extra cash into his bank account from April 2008 to this September, and he put a $50,500 cash down payment on a BMW in May, the complaint said.
Memorial Sloan-Kettering representatives didn’t immediately respond to after-hours messages Thursday, but a spokeswoman told the Journal that Gumbs’ employment had been terminated. He began working at the hospital in 1999.
Memorial Sloan-Kettering, which traces its history to 1884, is one of the world’s oldest and biggest cancer centers. More than 23,000 patients were admitted to its hospital last year, and its outpatient offices logged more than 500,000 visits.

A former FAA employee has been sentenced for his scheme to steal surplus government property, including cars, boats and an airplane.
Federal prosecutors say 37-year-old Steven Smith used a government computer to place holds on items posted for transfer to other agencies. His 51-year-old half-brother, Brad Garner, would travel around the country claiming the stuff, including a Cessna airplane and a 50-foot yacht used for drug enforcement.
Wednesday, a judge in Tacoma sentenced Smith to 3 1/2 years in prison. Garner got 4 1/2 years in prison last February.
Smith pleaded guilty but prosecutors say he wouldn’t reveal where he stored some items or where he moved some of the stuff in the middle of the night. One of the items, a sailboat used by the ROTC at the University of Washington, was smuggled into Canada.

Federal investigators arrested a TSA staffer who allegedly regularly stole hundreds of dollars out of travelers’ baggage at his security checkpoint.
According to an AP story, Michael Arato, a 41-year-old security screener at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey, not only routinely rifled through passengers’ bags on the hunt for cash, he also participated in a scheme involving kickbacks and bribes with a co-worker who also stole from passengers. In other words, this wasn’t the work of one lone rip-off artist; at least two airport employees were involved.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Arato was, in fact, not merely a low-level employee but a TSA supervisor who regularly pocked $400 to $700 per shift, and who accepted roughly $3,100 in bribes over the past five weeks. It is assumed that the thievery has been going on for months, if not years.
Apparently, Arato and his partner in crime (who is now cooperating with the federal investigation) targeted one group of travelers in particular: foreign, non-English speakers flying from Newark back to their homeland — India especially.
It goes without saying: It is unwise to travel with lots of cash and valuables. If you must, keep them close to you — like, never out of arm’s reach.

Much of the crime against the Jewish community is sadly coming from the Jewish Community.
1. There are those (CHJCC/Sperlin family) who are stealing money that belongs to the good people of Crown Heights.
2. There are those (again CHJCC/Sperlin Family) who are ordering the police to target other Jews.
3. There are those (CHJCC/Sperlin Family) who are working hand and hand to cover up crime.

My father was a staunchly non-religious Jew yet, he taught all of his children the golden rule. Very disconcerting for me to see ‘frum’ Jews who don’t even know the basics of ethical behavior, and moreover, they are running Jewish communities. This may seem like a dumb question but, shouldn’t frum Jews have at least as high ethical standards as Jews like my father?

How has this not happened before? Large families know to shop at Sam’s Club or Costco to save money — and most people know to glance in the pantry before a grocery run to make sure they don’t repurchase items they already have. It took federal government officials this long to figure out they could be more cost-effective by buying bulk and taking stock of what they already possess?
But, then, it’s much easier to be free with other folks’ money than with your own.
This week, the president plans to unveil his deficit reduction package. If this early effort at increased efficiency is any indication, the proposals he puts forth will trim mere chump change from the federal budget. But, then, even the hard-won cuts that will supposedly proceed from the Super Committee don’t amount to much. As The Washington Times’ Joseph Curl explains, if politicians actually want to eliminate the deficit, they’d have to cut the federal budget by a third. If they want to be able to make a dent in the debt, they’d have to cut the budget by two-thirds. Maybe it’s not important to eliminate the deficit and debt. At this point, the general consensus is that it’s crucial to at least reduce it because the debt has simply grown too large, but, in the past, economists and politicians used to debate the relative drawbacks and merits of operating at a deficit and acquiring debt. Either way, it’s crucial to be unimpressed by paltry $600 million savings or deficit reduction proposals that do little more than pay lip service to the fact that we have a problem.
