Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D-Brooklyn) had the highest praise for Brooklyn District Attorney Ken Thompson following the announcement today of a resolution in the case of Yitzchok Shuchat.
It was Five years ago on this day, the 22nd of Kislev, just a day after the Alter Rebbe celebrated his Didan Notzach, that the Shomrim Six were vindicated from the vicious blood libel and Messirah against them by the Meshichist Mossrim faction.
Shomrim did not celebrate the verdict as a victory, but as a salvation. The motto of cases conclusion rested in the song which is sung at Yud Tes Kislev Farbrengens around the world, “Podo Beshalom Nafshi… Anshei Domim Umirma Lo Yechtzu Yemaihem” ([g-d] has redeemed my soul in peace… men of blood and swindle may their days be halved).
First of all, I would like to commend the New York City Police Department for a job well done.
The Bochurim, the “Heroes”
These Bochurim (bystanders) that tried to intervene by attempting to to talk the attacker down, all the while standing near feet away, are no “heroes”. What they did was dangerous and plain and simply stupid!
Potential jurors were once pulled from voter registration lists and you could avoid serving simply by choosing not to vote. Things have sinced changed, however, and whether or not you vote has little impact. Nowadays, procuring a state-issued ID or driver’s license, buying a home, and/or filing tax returns can get you on the list as well. Basically, if you’re an active citizen of the United States you can expect to be called someday.
Could you believe it’s been five whole years since those “historic elections” *. When was the last time we heard anything from Zaki Tamir regarding the CHJCC? What has Zaki Tamir been doing these past five years?
Some Background: 1996, before the brake off, on the advice from a Williamsburg Shomrim Coordinator who pointed out that “Shmira’ is for dead people“, the Shmira organization changed it’s name to ‘Shomrim‘.
January 1999, as a result of a robbery on a Gemach in Canada (read all about that by clicking here), a vote was held (amongst all the members) and as a result, a few members involved in the robbery were thrown out of the Shomrim organization.
For decades (32-years) Dov Hikind was sitting in his [Assembly] chair quietly without a serious contender. So when election time came around, must Borough Park residents were not even aware that there were elections taking place and thus elections would come and go in silence, as a result Dov Hikind had to put zero effort in maintaining his seat.

The 14th was referring to October 14th, 2009, that day (“happened”) to have been the first day the Shomrim Six case was sent to trial. [Notice to appear on the 14th at 320 Jay street].
Paul Huebner and Elie C. Poltorak builds this case from beginning to end with help from the shmira/chsp/cop and political pull from Chanina Sperlin and Menachem Mendel Hendel leader of the Meshichist faction.
The NYPD’s Special Victims Unit is investigating a report that a young woman, who is visiting from Israel for the month of Tishrei, was assaulted while sleeping in the women’s section of 770. With the help of Shomrim, police have successfully apprehended the suspect, who has since been charged with the crime.
